DESCRIPTION: \nIt is with pleasure to announce the 4th Dutch Caribbean Hear
 t Days (DCHD) to be held January 14 – 16\, 2027 in the Ballroom of the Ren
 aissance Hotel in Willemstad\, Curaçao.\nWith the DCHD\, a strong educatio
 nal platform in (cardiovascular) radiology and cardiology was created for 
 the Caribbean region and South-America\, but also for North-America and Eu
 rope.\nThe meeting promotes the knowledge on cardiovascular radiology and 
 features a spectrum from basic principles towards (advanced) clinical appl
 ications and scientific innovations. Optimal and sustainable healthcare wi
 ll be discussed based on regional experience (Caribbean region and South-A
 merican) as well as from Europe.\nThe program is also appealing for reside
 nts and technicians in radiology and (pediatric) cardiology\, pulmonologis
 ts and internal medicine MD’s. Technical aspects and protocols\, scientifi
 c content on cardiac imaging will be addressed besides topical sessions co
 vering the clinical implications of imaging findings. Sessions will featur
 e examples of actual clinical cases and how novel techniques\, methods and
  interventions can be used to better diagnose and treat patients with a va
 riety of diseases affecting the cardiovascular system.\nThe congenial and

DESCRIPTION: \nCaribbean Acute Stroke Summit \nWe are pleased to announce t
 he Caribbean Acute Stroke Summit\, held in beautiful Curacao on April 17th
  and 18th 2027. This two-day event brings together regional and internatio
 nal speakers\, highlighting current key developments in acute stroke care 
 and the unique challenges and opportunities in resource-limited regions su
 ch as the Caribbean.\nIschemic stroke is a severely debilitating condition
  for which acute treatment options have significantly advanced over the pa
 st decades. For years now\, intravenous thrombolysis and endovascular thro
 mbectomy have become standard of care. Treatment is possible up to 24 hour
 s after the onset of symptoms\, although earlier treatment still leads to 
 better (functional) outcomes.\nWhile these treatments and the necessary di
 agnostic tools are available in many countries\, access remains limited in
  many regions\, including most of the Caribbean. Implementing what is now 
 considered basic acute stroke care presents significant challenges on the 
 Caribbean islands\, due to financial\, geographical\, and socioeconomic fa
 ctors. This necessitates difficult trade-offs in acute stroke care in the 
 Caribbean region\, with the ultimate goal of providing high-quality\, acce
 ssible care for everyone.\nThe conference is aimed at both professionals w
 ithin stroke care in the Caribbean and those in other regions of the world
