TISLEP and Sanokondu
The first Toronto International Summit on Leadership Education for Physicians (TISLEP) was held in October 2014 and represented a collaboration between the University of Toronto's Faculty of Medicine and Institute for Healthcare Policy, Measurement and Evaluation, and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Since then, three subsequent TISLEP meetings have been held bringing various healthcare leaders, educators, patients and other stakeholders together. The objective of these meetings has been to provide participants with the opportunity to engage in lively and productive dialogue about healthcare leadership development. In 2016, this collaboration led to the establishment of Sanokondu, an international community of practice dedicated to fostering health professional leadership education worldwide through the creation and dissemination of open educational resources in leadership development. The name Sanokondu represents an adaptation of 'health leadership' in the universal language of Esperanto.
